Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS) Points
There are many more racing classes in this event than there are in the MASS Series Points Standings. That is so that racers get the best opportunities to place in the top 15 spots in their class and gain invitations to the MTB National Championships to be held in July at Bear Creek Resort in PA. Racers will also receive MASS Series points in the applicable MASS classes through a merging of results based on total completion times. For example, the Pro Male and Elite Male results will be merged and ordered by completion times to obtain a single Pro/Elite ranking for use in assigning MASS Series points. Similarly, the Cat 2 Female 19-29 and Cat 2 Female 30-39 classes will be merged for MASS Series Points purposes to get a single MASS Cat 2 Women Under 40 set of points. And so forth for other combinations of classes.
